Paper that folds like paper
Each sheet is a shader-generated mesh bent with the cone model by Hong, Card, and Chen. The fold is developable: the paper bends without stretching, and front and back come from the same surface, with no z-fighting.
3D magazines that really turn.
Build 3D magazines, catalogs, and booklets from your precomps. The paper bends without stretching, each turn has weight and a soft landing, and studio lighting makes it feel like a product photo. Choose from seven modes, from hands-on control to turning pages on layer markers.
60–90 s, 1920×1080. Start with a closed magazine on a table, open to the right page, then Quick Flip with motion blur. Switch the paper from Glossy to Newsprint and the light from Softbox to HDRI. Close with the Plugin’s bite.
In After Effects, a 3D magazine is usually a 3D layer rig or CC Page Turn on a flat plane. Magazine Pro bends each sheet like paper without stretching it; the corner is grabbed, the page falls with weight, then settles with a small bounce under studio light or HDRI.
The browser version keeps pages rigid; in the plugin, each sheet really bends, with lighting, shadows, and paper texture.
Show a client’s magazine, catalog, or booklet turning, with the actual pages supplied as precomps.
Flip through inserts and sale catalogs one page at a time, in sync with the voiceover.
A magazine opens to the right page to reveal the title.
Show design and photography work as a printed publication.
Loop Quick Flip and Page by Page for reels and stories.
Aged Newsprint, wear, and dog ears for period scenes.

Animate Turn by hand, or choose a mode: go to a page, turn one page at a time, flip through, open, close, or turn on layer markers. Set the timing, pause, acceleration, and rhythm for each mode.
Curl, Corner Peel, Max Roll, and Grab let you catch a page by its top or bottom corner. Lift Ease and Landing Ease work much like keyframe influence. Inertia, a landing bounce, and a little variation from page to page keep it from feeling repetitive.
Spine Rise, Curve, and Press; up to four folds across the sheet; and opening at the fold, center, or edge. Set the cover’s own thickness, stiffness, and overhang, with staples, incremental width, and sticking sheets.
Choose from five paper types with gloss, roughness, relief, ink sheen, translucency, coating reflections, and tone. Then add wear: chips, worn ink, yellowing, marks, wavy cuts, and dog ears.
Use up to four studio lights with type, position, size, intensity, Kelvin temperature, and softness. Or use an HDRI from any layer, or the comp’s own Environment light. Add shadows, AO, a ground shadow, and contact with the table.
Use the comp camera or set your own orbit, tilt, distance, and lens. Choose AE camera DOF or manual DOF, with iris and aperture blades. Motion blur can follow the layer switch or stay on, with vignette, aberration, grain, and camera shake.
Choose from nine page formats and a wood, concrete, or glossy black tabletop (or the layer below), with transparent background and compositing passes.
These are the parameter groups as they appear in After Effects. Every control is animatable.
Define turn, paper, and studio presets. For the page: total count and 8–12 16:9 thumbnails.
3–6 artist projects (editorial mockups and commercials), each with a name, link, and testimonial.
A short artist quote, name, role, and studio, with a photo or avatar.
A second testimonial, ideally from a production company (the brand’s other audience).
5–8 min: apply it to a Solid, connect precomps as pages, choose a format, and animate Turn.
6 min: Go to Page, Page by Page, Quick Flip, and On Markers.
6 min: studio presets, an HDRI from a layer, paper types, and wear.

Each page is a comp layer: precomps are read at the current time, and hidden layers work too. If no page is assigned, a demo page appears.
